HS Athletic Background (graduating yr.): He graduated from Lodi H.S. (California) in 2006 where he ran cross country and track (800, 1600, 3200 and 4 X 400).

College Athletic Background: He graduated from the University of Dubuque in 2009 with a B.S. in Flight Operations. At Dubuque, he ran both cross country and indoor and outdoor track (800, 1500, 3K, 5K, and 10K).

Post-College Athletics: Coach Goad competes in local triathlon races. He also competes in small cycle cross races and cycling endurance races.
